Sturgis Warner (Writer / Performer) is a longtime New York City actor, director, and occasional writer. He founded Twilight Theatre Company in 1998 to develop and produce new plays before passing it on to Margarett Perry in 2019. He has acted at the Public Theater, Atlantic Theater Company, Signature Theater Company, Second Stage, HERE, La Mama, PS122, Portland Stage (ME), Actors Theater of Louisville, and many others including plays and events with downtown legend Jeff Weiss. Directing highlights with Twilight include Najla Said's Palestine, Ted LoRusso's First Day, and Twilight's first production suits by Michael John Garcés. As a freelance director he has worked at The Kitchen Theater (Ithaca), Encore (San Francisco), Actors Theater of Louisville, Adirondack Theatre Festival, Barrington Stage, New Jersey Rep, Abingdon, Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre and more. He's a longtime Usual Suspect at New York Theatre Workshop and helped develop many plays at the now defunct Lark Play Development Center. Bringing his theater skills to animation, he produced Signe Baumane's animated feature film My Love Affair With Marriage (2022), and is currently producing her third animated feature Karmic Knot (2029). Michael John Garcés (Director) is thrilled to be working with longtime collaborator Sturgis Warner on this project. He has worked at theatres across the country including Capital Rep, Mixed Blood, Arena Stage, The Mark Taper Forum, The Guthrie Theatre, Mosaic Theatre, Woolly Mammoth, The Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, The Brooklyn Academy of Music, Intersection for the Arts, The Kennedy Center and many others. Plays he has written include The Americanos (commissioned by the National Day Laborers Organizing Network), Mascs (Profile Theatre Company - upcoming), TOWN (Theatre Horizon), south (Great Plains Theatre Commons) and 36 Yesses (Cornerstone). He is the former artistic director of Cornerstone Theater Company, a professional, community-engaged ensemble in Los Angeles, and is currently a professor of practice in the English Department at Arizona State University. He is a recipient of the Doris Duke Artist Award, the Princess Grace Statue and the Alan Schneider Award. Michael is the President of the Executive Board of SDC, the national union for stage directors and choreographers.

ERICA CHAMBLEE GARCÉS (Associate Director)...is an actress, dancer, director and choreographer based in Los Angeles. Regional Theater credits include: The Trial of the Catonsville Nine (Mark Taper Forum); Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grlll and Pride & Prejudice (Rhino Leap); The Royale (Arizona Theater Company); Cherokee (Woolly Mammoth Theater Company); ¾ of a Mass for St. Vivian (Kennedy Center); Eureka Day, Sooner/Later, A Human Being Died that Night and Gospel of Lovingkindness (Mosaic Theater Company); I Killed My Mother and The Lathe of Heaven (Spooky Action Theater); Trojan Women (Taffety Punk Theater Company); Haroun and the Sea of Stories (Theater Alliance); Anna K (Roundhouse Silver Spring); and Lioness: Pride of America (Atlas Intersections Festival). Film and TV; Lincoln, Toe to Toe, Jazz in the Diamond District, Spit, House of Cards and The Wire. When she is not onstage she is engaged in a deeply personal yoga practice. She has taught yoga: meditation, breathwork and movement for over 10 years in studio and privately.

MEGHAN E. HEALEY (Designer) is a costume, scenic, and puppet designer who specializes in new and experimental work and community-based practice. She has designed costumes and scenery for more than 120 world premiere productions, previously receiving recognition from OOBR, The Barrymore Awards, and is a prior ACE and Hola! Award winner for outstanding costume design. Her recent work includes My Onliness with Daniel Irizarry for the Sibiu International Theater Festival (One-Eighth/SOHO Rep/IRT), Bundle of Sticks by C. Julian Jímenez (INTAR NYC), NATIVE NATION by Larissa Fasthorse (ASU Gammage/Cornerstone Theater), and her own original installation/performance The Curious Cabinet. Her upcoming work includes the multi-media puppet show CATS! VIKING CATS! By RN Healey (cruel puppet collective), and Marie Antoinette for Queens College. She holds an MFA in Design for Stage from NYU’s Tisch School, is Chair of the Department of Drama, Theater, Dance and Fashion, and is the co-Artistic Director of Queens College’s School of Arts. Lou Moreno (Producer) is an award-winning director, producer, and artistic leader with more than two decades of experience. From 2010 to 2025, Moreno served as Artistic Director of INTAR Theatre, one of the nation’s oldest Latine theatre institutions. He produced more than 40 new plays and workshops, collaborating with playwrights including Octavio Solis, José Rivera, Migdalia Cruz, and Andrea Thome. He expanded INTAR’s studio into a producing venue and launched UNIT52, the NewWorks Lab, and the Monday Night Salon. He led the organization through a successful transition in 2025.

Margarett Perry (Producer) is an award-winning director of new plays. She has directed and developed new work Off-Broadway and in regional theatres across the country as well as in Scotland and London. Margarett is the Artistic Director of Twilight Theatre Company, a Resident Company at 59E59 Theaters, where she has directed several new plays including last summer’s extended run of Polishing Shakespeare by Brian Dykstra (the best-selling show in the 21-year history of 59E59 Theater B) and last season’s extended run of The Rosenberg/Strange Fruit Project by John Jiler. Other recent world premieres include the critically acclaimed productions of Born in East Berlin by Rogelio Martinez, Seared by Theresa Rebeck (both at San Francisco Playhouse), Not Nobody by Brian Dykstra (59E59) and A Special Relationship by Tim Marriott & Jef Stolzer at the Tabard Theatre, London. She is a regular at the Kitchen Theatre Company where she has helmed over 25 productions including 12 world premieres and most recently, King James by Rajiv Joseph. Other favorites include Shrek the Musical (Connecticut Rep) and Used to Was/Maybe Did by Brian Dykstra (Center Theatre Group). Fishing for Alaska Productions (Producer) is dedicated to the presentation of Fishing for Alaska. Lou Moreno, Michael John. Garcés and Sturgis Warner have recently been joined by Erica Chamblee Garcés and Meghan E. Healey to keep developing the play and readying it for production. Important development support also came from INTAR, New York Theatre Workshop and Dan McCabe's Open Anything where Fishing for Alaska started.

Founded by Sturgis Warner in 1998 and now under the artistic leadership of Margarett Perry, Twilight continues its mission to support new work through readings, workshops, and productions. Last season Twilight produced the Extended Off-Broadway run of Polishing Shakespeare by Brian Dykstra (the best-selling show in the 21-year history of 59E59 Theatre B). And in the spirit of international collaboration, Twilight went to London to co-produce A Special Relationship by Tim Marriott and Jeff Stolzer with the Tabard Theatre and bring it back to NYC for Brits Off-Broadway at 59E59 Theaters. Other 2025 international collaborations included Old Cock by Robert Schenkkan directed by Jorge Andrade for Under the Radar with Mala Voadora and Kafka by Jack Klaff directed by Colin Watkeys for 59E59 Theaters Brits Off-Broadway. In past seasons, Twilight produced Appraisal and Watson: The Final Problem for Brits Off Broadway as well as the sold out, extended run of The Rosenberg/Strange Fruit Project by John Jiler (59E59). Twilight also produced two world premieres at the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe Festival — Polishing Shakespeare by Brian Dykstra and Plotters by Brian Parks. Both productions received sold out, critically acclaimed runs. This season, Twilight is continuing its work to bring international artists to the United States as well as bringing the work of US artists to the UK and beyond. The 2026 season includes productions of Not Nobody by Brian Dykstra at 59E59 Theaters, Nicole Travolta is Doing Alright at Soho Playhouse, two new plays to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
